Ray Argyle is a Toronto author and media consultant who writes on social and cultural history. His research for Scott Joplin and the Age of Ragtime extended over a decade and included countless interviews, attendance at Ragtime events, and research into public and private records in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. His earlier books were Turning Points, a history of pivotal Canadian elections, and Communications in the New Millennium. He has written for such publications as Reader’s Digest, and Canada’s Beaver Magazine and The National Post.
